Jennette Ann Cross (Selman) (Abbott), 75, of Rainy River, Ont., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014 at the Rainy River Health Centre with family at her side.
Jennette was born in her family home in Chapple Township.
She was predeceased by her parents, Gar and Mabel Abbott; brothers, Donald and Cecil; sisters, Stella, Jean, and Linda; and husband, Edward Cross.
Jennette is survived by seven loving children, Walter of Drumheller, Dean of Calmar, Stanley of Sprague, Janice of Rainy River, Arthur of Rainy River, Nancy of Fort Frances, and Cecil of Edmonton; and stepdaughters, Linda (Tim) Skinner of Longlac and Darrellene (Robert) Hall of Fort Frances.
She also is survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren from both sides, who were her pride and joy.
Jennette was a Legion member for 37 years and a Moose member for 24 years.
Cremation has taken place, and a private family interment will be held.
The zipper lady is resting.
