The family of Dixie Yvonne Pidlubny sadly announces her passing, with family at her side, on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014 at her home at Rainycrest Long-Term Care in Fort Frances, Ont.
Dixie was five days short of her 87th birthday.
Dixie was a stay-at-home mom for most of her life. But after all the children were raised, she enjoyed working at M&S Bootery until she retired.
Dixie is survived by her five children, Cathy Emes of Fort Frances, Ont., Bill Pidlubny of Calgary, Alta., Donna Pidlubny of Toronto, Ont., Ron (Pearl) Pidlubny of Fort Frances, Ont., and Greg Pidlubny of Winnipeg, Man.
Also surviving are her loving grandchildren, Deborah Emes, Kimberly (Paul) Nicholson, Ryan Pidlubny and Jamie Loewen, Clinton (Jackie) Pidlubny, Kyle (Jennifer) Pidlubny, Clifford Pidlubny, Kurtis Pidlubny, and Audrey Richer, Adrian Merritt (Ken) Berg and Samantha Merritt, and Erin Pidlubny.
Dixie also is survived by 10 great-grandchildren; 11 nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Donna Pearson.
Dixie was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Elizabeth Pearson; brothers, Cecil (Dorothea) Pearson and Ronald Pearson; sister, Iris (Carson) McQuaker; and son-in-law, George Emes.
As per Mom’s wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date.
