JAMES ROY DAVID WILSON

It is with great sadness that the family of James (Jim) Wilson, of Fort Frances, Ont., announces his passing, at the age of 84, on Monday, Aug. 25, 2014 at Rainycrest Long-Term Care in Fort Frances.
Jim was born to Ralph and Laura Wilson on March 23, 1930 in Emo, Ont.
He was united in marriage to Eliza Tullett on Dec. 8, 1972. They settled on the family farm in Chapple Township and raised their family before retiring to Fort Frances in 2002.
Jim worked at many jobs, including truck driving, construction, and farming. He had a great love for horses and often would be seen at the Emo Fair driving a team or two.
He also had developed a great skill for harness making.
He enjoyed trout fishing, gardening, and picking blueberries, and will be fondly remembered for his pies and homemade bread. His greatest joy was having the grandchildren around to play checkers with for “Papa” was the checker king!
Jim will be lovingly remembered by his children, Barb Wilson (Brian), Wanda (Shawn) Pollard, Wade Wilson, and Jim (Cindy), Debbie (Carl), and Albert (Lil); grandchildren, Dwight, Sheri (Ryan), Curtis, Andrew (Sydney), Sarah (Riley), Haley, Tyson, Riley, Dustin (Jennifer), Ashley (John), Jessiee, Andy (Rachel), Janice, and Myron; and great-grandchildren, Justin, Nicholas, Dylan, Hudson, and Brady.
Jim also is survived by his siblings, Alex (Linda) Wilson, Lydia Wilson, Dan (Ellen) Wilson, and Liz (Nick) Kluk; sisters-in-law, Hazel Tullett and Rita Walford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Laura; wife, Eliza (2008); brother, Willard (Joyous); and sister, Iris (Percy) Reid.
