Elizabeth Bertha Thierry (nee McLeod) passed away peacefully at home, under hospice care, on Tuesday, March 25, 2014.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Blain; son, Donald (Nanette); step-grandchildren, Roger and Madeline; son, David (Anita); and granddaughter, Sophia.
Elizabeth, one of 11 siblings, was born Jan. 3, 1932 and raised in Fort Frances, Ont.

Active in the United Church youth program, Elizaberth later moved to Winnipeg, Man. to become the secretary to the Superintendent of Home Missions for Manitoba of the United Church.
Married for more than 52 years to clergyman Blain, she continued volunteering with the church in various capacities and for 20 years worked outside the home.
Elizabeth dedicated herself to family, her priority, and her faith community.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the First Metropolitan United Church in Victoria, B.C., with a luncheon to follow.
There will be live-streaming in real time of the service (Google “First Met United Church Victoria” and follow the links).
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the hospitality committee, First Metropolitan United Church, or the Cancer Foundation of Victoria would be much appreciated.
