It is with great sadness that the family of Peggy Bellamy (nee Brown) announces her passing on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont. at the age of 83.
Peggy was born March 7, 1930 in Morley Township, Ont. to John and Emily Brown.
She was united in marriage to Philip Bellamy on Nov. 28, 1948.
Peggy enjoyed gardening, her pets, and farm life. She also had a great love for music and was an inspiration to her sons to learn to play music.
She had a hobby of watching airplanes, collecting small replicas and photos of them in her spare time.
Peggy is survived by her children, Richard (Sharon) of Devlin, Ont., Lawrence (Donna) of Atikokan, Ont., and Bruce (Marilyn) of Devlin, Ont.; and grandchildren, Mary Anne, Orville, and Solomon.
She also is survived by her siblings, Robert Brown and Lawrence (Maxine) Brown, all of Stratton, Ont.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Peggy was predeceased by her husband, Philip (2012); parents, John and Emily; siblings, John (Elsie) (Eva) Brown, Henry (Edna) Brown, Lil (Jack) Boldero, and Mary (Hughie) Fifield; and sister-in-law, Nellie Brown.
A graveside service was held Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Stratton Cemetery, with Rev. Ralph Fluit officiating.
A reception followed at the Millennium Hall in Stratton.
