ELLEN FRANCES MIHICHUK

Ellen Mihichuk passed away Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, with family by her side, at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont. after a long, hard battle with cancer.
She was born Dec. 15, 1951 in Fort Frances to Edward and Johan Supinski.
She grew up in Fort Frances, meeting Randy Mihichuk and they were married Feb. 26, 1972.
Together they moved their young family to Manitouwadge, Ont., spending 25 years there. They made many close friends there over the years.
In 1999, they returned to Fort Frances.
Ellen worked at the TD Bank for many years. She always enjoyed her co-workers and customers, and she loved being around people.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, knitting, sewing, curling, and playing Bingo. She also enjoyed visiting with friends and family but her children were her life; she doted on Lesa and Mitch, nothing came before them.
Ellen leaves behind her husband, Randy; son, Mitch; daughter, Lesa (Paul); mother, Johan Lockman; brother, George Supniski (Marie); and sister, Mary Kuharski (Jim Carr).
Also surviving are her brothers-in-law, Terry Mihichuk (Nancy) and Lynn Mihichuk (Barb); sister-in-law, Susan Gagnon (Gary); and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father, Edward Supinski; sister, Joan Supinski; and in-laws, Matt and Olga Mihichuk.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Knox United Church in Fort Frances, with Rev. Barbara Miller officiating.
Cremation has taken place, with interment in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Frances.
The honourary pallbearers were Carol Gionet, Marj Boileau, Alice Gould, Rochelle Kennett, Candy Sproule, Colleen Fluet, Kathy Tyralla, Bonnie Simmons, and Michelle Lauzon.
