Garrett Neil Jim, 48, of Seine River First Nation, Ont., passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Seine River First Nation.
He was born Feb. 2, 1965 in Fort Frances, Ont.
Garrett spent most of his childhood at Seine River. As he got older, he travelled long and far to places such as San Antonio and Santa Cruz, Tex., Thunder Bay, and Winnipeg, until he finally came home.
He did small little jobs helping out the community and its members.
Garrett will be missed by those who loved him, and by everyone that knew him.
He was predeceased by his mother, Louise Jim; one sister in infancy; and one sister, Marion Jim.
Garrett is survived by his father, George Jim; brother, Rex Jim and Debra of Seine River First Nation, Ont.; two sisters, Bernice Jim of Michigan and Angelina Jim and Tim of Seine River First Nation, Ont.; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances.
Fr. Francis Pudicherry will officiate, with interment in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Couchiching First Nation, Ont.
Family and friends may visit Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 4-6 p.m. at Green Funeral Home.
The pallbearers will be Steve Spencer, Mike Spencer, Christopher Spencer, Jason Kabatay, John Kabatay, and Patrick Kabatay.
The honourary pallbearers will be Chris Cupp, Tim Medicine, and Arthur Geyshick Jr.
