Earl Calvin Krueger, of International Falls, Mn., passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at the Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine, Mn.
Earl was born June 9, 1920 in Raymond, Mn. to Anna and Ed Krueger. His siblings were Melvin Krueger, Louis Krueger, and Lucille Phillips.
All have predeceased him.
He attended school in Roseau, Mn. and as a young man moved to International Falls. He became employed by Mando Paper as a millwright.
He continued to work until 1974, taking early retirement.
Earl was united in marriage to Leola Prevost on June 17, 1944 at the Zion Lutheran Church in International Falls. She predeceased him on Aug. 2, 2007.
Earl was a member of Koochiching Masonic Lodge 270. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Earl and Leola would camp with their trailer through the summer months, meeting and making new friends.
Surviving are his sons, Dale (Nancy) Krueger of International Falls, Mn. and Duane (Karen) Krueger of Comfrey, Mn.
He will be missed by grandson, Mike (Christine) Krueger of Fort Frances, Ont. and great-granddaughters, Lauren and Morgan; and granddaughter, Linda (Joey) Kawulia of Fort Frances, Ont. and great-grandson, Wesley Davis.
Also remembering him is grandson, Norman (Andrea) Krueger of New Ulm, Mn. and great-grandchildren, Reagan and Colin.
He also is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Green-Larsen Funeral Home in International Falls, with Walter Martin officiating.
At Earl’s request, there will be no visitation.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in International Falls.
