VICTOR RUDOLPH HIMSL

Victor Rudolph Himsl passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at his residence at Sunrise Senior Living in Windsor, Ont.
He was born March 23, 1922 in Lumsden, Sask.
Reunited with his beloved wife of 68 years, Mary, nee Balint (2010).
Loving father of Marilyn and David Lambert of Whitby, Ont., Darlene and Rene Tremblay of Dorchester, Ont., Wayne and Mary Himsl, and Bonnie Himsl of Barrie, Ont., and Michael Himsl of Ottawa, Ont.; dear grandpa of Michael, James, Katrina, Stephen, Cheryl, Jason, Jeremy, Rufus, Nathan, Lauren, Samara, and Rachel; and great-grandpa of eight and great-great-grandpa of three.
Son of the late Rudolph and Charlotte Himsl; brother of the late Arlene and Milton Wright, Avis and Keith Halvorsen, and Virgil and the late Ginger Himsl; and brother-in-law of Betty and the late Laurent Sicard, the late Bill Valentine, Ken and Claire Valentine, Doug and Elsie Balint, and Bob and Mary Balint.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 8, 2012 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave. S., Windsor (1-519-969-5841).
A veterans’ memorial service, under the auspices of the Windsor Veteran Memorial Service Committee, will be held at 4 p.m., with parish prayers at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, June 9, 2012, family and friends are invited to meet after 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (804 Grand Marais Rd.), followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m.
Interment in Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
