Lois Helder (nee Ricci), of Morson, Ont., passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont. at the age of 80.
Lois was born July 7, 1931 in Rainy River, Ont. to Arthur and Margaret Ricci.
She loved spending time with her family and friends. Lois also had a great love for the outdoors on Lake of the Woods and watching her birds.
Lois will be lovingly remembered by her son, Larry Brusven of Morson, Ont., and daughter, Debra (Rex) Jim of Seine River, Ont. She will be greatly missed by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She also is survived by her siblings, Margaret (John) Peterson, Leonard (Millie) Ricci, Phyllis Kreger, and Earl (Liz) Ricci; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lois was predeceased by her husbands, Ernest Brusven (1970) and John Helder (1988); her son, Harley Brusven; and her sister, Shirley Bell.
A time of fellowship will be held Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Morson Community Hall.
Interment will take place in the Bergland Cemetery at a later date.
