MARGARET AILEEN JEWELL

It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Margaret Aileen Jewell passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at the Emo Health Centre in Emo, Ont.
Margaret was born Jan. 23, 1920 in Emo.
She married Lloyd Albert Jewell on Feb. 3, 1938. They lived in the Emo area all of their lives.
Margaret is survived by her two sons, Fred (Beverly) of Red Lake, Ont. and Keith (Geri) of Winnipeg, Man.; one daughter, Joan (Gerald) of Devlin, Ont.; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are one sister, Bernice Pico of Edmonton, Alta., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Margaret was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Lloyd, in 1990; her parents, Harold and Mabel Daw; sisters, Evelyn Tompkins and Doreen Carlson; and son-in-law, Lewis Hughes.
Friends were received Sunday, July 24, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. at the Northridge Funeral Home in Emo.
Funeral service was held Monday, July 25, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Knox United Church in Emo, with Rev. Frances Flook officiating.
Interment in Emo Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Ralph Jewell, Allan Jewell, Ted Corrigan, Dick Trivers, Malcolm O’Neill-Fischer, and Ken McKinnon.
