VERNON ROSS LAMPI

Vernon Ross Lampi, 48, of Devlin, Ont., passed away suddenly on Monday, June 13, 2011.
He was born July 19, 1962 in Fort Frances, Ont. and lived most of his life in the Devlin area.
Vernon worked for various logging contractors throughout Northwestern Ontario as a heavy equipment operator.
He also was an avid gardener, and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Left to mourn is his wife, Odette; parents, Edward and Florence Lampi; and son, William (Billy) Lampi.
Also surviving are his brother, Gordon (Kathy) Lampi; sister, Angela (Kenneth) Scholler; and nieces and nephews, Crystal Paterson, John Paterson, Angela Lampi, Melissa Lampi, Anthony Scholler, and Brendyn Scholler.
Vernon was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents; sister, Rhonda Paterson; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
In memoriam donations may be made to the Royal Bank (Fort Frances branch) until July 20, 2011 in trust for his son, William (Billy) Lampi.
