In loving memory of Conrad Oscar Erickson, who passed away Friday, May 1, 2009 at the Dryden Regional Health Centre in Dryden, Ont. after a lengthy illness.
Conrad was born Jan. 20, 1935 in Rainy River, Ont. to the late Ernest Erickson and Elsa Engfors.
He grew up in Fort Frances, Ont. and following school, joined the air force and travelled throughout Europe. He later returned to Sioux Narrows, Ont., where he guided on Lake of the Woods for many years.
Conrad was very artistic and enjoyed soapstone carving. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing.
Conrad is survived by his sisters, Agnes (Ely) Champagne, Nancy (Don) Ricard, Shirley Plant, Carolyn (Harold) Schmidt, and Ann (Art) Dustin; brother, Alexander MacLean; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
At Conrad’s request, there will be no service.
A family service and interment of ashes will take place in Rainy River at a later date.
