ORVAL ALLAN LOUGHEED

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and best friend, Orval Allan Lougheed, on Monday, Dec. 22, 2008 at the Lake of the Woods Hospital in Kenora, Ont.
Orval was born Nov. 11, 1924 in Carpenter Township to the late Israel and Elma Lougheed.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Edra Jean (nee Murray); their five children, Billy (Charlotte), Jeanne (Morley) McDonald, Glen, Grant (Lorette), and Les (Ellen); nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are his five sisters; two brothers; two sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law; many nieces and nephews; relatives and good friends; and the many people he touched during his life.
Orval and Jean owned their own logging business for many years in Kenora. He loved the outdoors, enjoying fishing and hunting.
Also he will be missed by his beloved dog, “Holly.”
At Orval’s request, no funeral service will be held. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service to celebrate Orval’s life will be held at a later date.
