She passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, Oct. 26th, 2008 after a short but
brave fi ght with cancer.
God has taken one of His children home to be with her parents Betty and Milton Mosbeck.
She was born in 1944 in Finland, Ontario.
She will be missed dearly by her husband of 46 years, Ken Bekesi; her daughter, Cheryl
Byma from Edmonton, Alberta; and son, Shane Bekesi from Fort Frances;
her grandchildren Michael, Monique, Melanie, Jessica, and Mitchell.
She was the youngest of her family and leaves behind 3 brothers, Bill Mosbeck of Emo,
Ontario, Melvin Mosbeck, from Hinton, Alberta and Cecil Mosbeck, from Fort Frances,
Ontario; and her only and dearest sister, Patricia MacDonald, from Vancouver, B.C.
Also numerous nieces and nephews from all over Canada.
Elaine enjoyed walking her pets, tending to her garden, visiting friends, and doing crafts
with her grandchildren. She was also a graduate in Social Services.
Her husband Ken and herself owned a laundromat, then owned Camperland in Crozier,
which they successfully operated until their selling it in 1987. For the remainder of her
years she actively participated in operating a home rental business.
She will be remembered for her always bright outlook on life and quick remarks,
that always caught you off guard and brought a smile to your face.
Elaine has asked this humble request…
“Please don‛t mourn for me, I have lived a life, well lived and well loved.”
The family of Elaine Bekesi wishes to thank Dr. Moorhouse, the Nurses at Comcare
and many others who helped Elaine have her wish–to remain at home.
A Come and Go Tea in her honour will be held on
Thursday, Oct. 30th, from 1 p.m until 4 p.m. at her home in Crozier.
Friends and relatives may accept this as their invitation, please no flowers or gifts.
