RICK COPENACE

Rick Copenace, 26, of Onigaming First Nation, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 in Kenora, Ont.
Rick was born April 12, 1982 in Fort Frances, Ont. He had worked in construction as a labourer and also as a cook’s assistant at the child care centre.
He enjoyed hockey, golfing, fishing, and was the pitcher for the Sabaskong Cubs fastball team.
He was devoted to his fiancé, Annie, he adored his children, and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 26, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Onigaming first Nation gymnasium. Rev. Mr. Elmer Mainville and Elder Peter White officiated, followed by interment in the Onigaming First Nation Cemetery.
A funeral wake was held Sunday, May 25, 2008 at the Onigaming First Nation gymnasium.
The pallbearers were Sheldon Kelly, Kirk Copenace, Kevin Copenace, Cecil Copenace, Terry Bob, Makwa Copenace, Norman Copenace, and Shawn Kelly.
The honourary pallbearers were members of the Sabaskong Cubs fastball team.
