RYAN ATATISE
Accidentally, on Friday, April 4, 2008, Ryan Bruce Atatise, Babaamanakod (Travelling Cloud), of Ochapowace First Nation, Sask., passed away at the age of 36.
A service was held in the Fred Bear Communiplex, Ochapowace First Nation, on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at noon. A wake was held in the communiplex on Tuesday evening.
A funeral service, wake, and interment were in his home of Lac La Croix First Nation, Ont. on the evening of Thursday, April 10 and the morning of Friday, April 11, 2008 at the home of his mother, Bessie Atatise.
Ryan was predeceased by his father, Bob Atatise; niece, Adrienne Nicole Brown; and nephew, Lance Barret Geyshick.
Ryan will be greatly missed by his beloved mother, Bessie Vivian Atatise; partner, Shelley Bear; children, Ryan Brice, Austin Mitchell Barret, and Taran Ryan Robert; stepchildren, Anika and Keane; as well as the mother of his children, Tina Louise Morriseau.
Ryan’s immediate and extended family will always keep him close to their hearts forever, including his brothers and sisters, Gladys Geyshick (Billy), Audrey Brown (Howard), Robert Atatise (Debbie), Rick Atatise (Peggy), Priscilla Jourdain (Greg), Lester Atatise, Phyllis Pierson (Richard), Brian Atatise (Mary Jane), Doreen Skinaway (Ron), and Rolland Atatise (Jackie).
Also mourning the loss of Ryan are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; as well as his Assiniboine mom and dad, Jake and Jeanne Haywahe and their family, Brady, Nathan, and Quintana.
Ryan will be surely missed by all those he touched, especially his family and close friends. The lives of many who knew Ryan were truly enriched.
There are many things in this life that we do not understand, but we must trust in the Creator’s judgement and be guided by his hand.
