Elsie Joan Latimer, 60, of 149 Fourth St. W., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances.
She was born Oct. 13, 1940 in Redditt, Ont. to the late William and Isabelle Latimer.
Elsie had worked as a nanny for the Caul family in Devlin, and also as a baker at the Bonnie Blue in Fort Frances. She enjoyed cooking, and her home was always open to anyone.
She loved to spend time with children and was very dedicated to her family.
She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #29 in Fort Frances, and she also enjoyed gardening very much.
Elsie is survived by her daughter, Roberta Anderson of Thunder Bay; and grandsons, Jamie, Jesse, and Joey.
She also is survived by her sisters, Betty and husband, Jack Haas, of Sioux Narrows, and Isabelle Latimer of Fort Frances; brothers, Bob Latimer and wife, Sue, of Hillsport, Ont., and Bill Latimer of Orillia, Ont.; as well as nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews in Canada and Texas, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, William and Isabelle Latimer; an infant child in 1961; and her niece, Angela Dawn Latimer on April 28, 1987.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 29, 2000 at 1 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Rev. Diane Clifford will officiate, with interment in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
Friends may visit prior to the funeral service at Green Funeral Home.
