Harry was a hard-working husband, father, grandfather, and friend who was always there to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He was an avid outdoorsman who took great pleasure in fishing and spending time on the lake and his cabin.
He also enjoyed going uptown to drink coffee with his friends and catch up on old times.
He loved sports, particularly hockey and baseball. He enjoyed playing hockey with his family on the backyard rink that he built especially for them.
He also liked watching native hockey tournaments and the Muskies at the Memorial Arena, and the old Couchiching fastball team play at the old diamond on Couchiching First Nation where his brother, Emil, was the umpire.
He loved spending time with his family, but he also found times to read and work on crossword puzzles. You never had to call when you wanted to drop in on Harry. He was always ready to invite old friends and guests into his home at any times of the day.
He enjoyed sitting and watching his favourite Canadian hockey teams play on the TV with his sons and grandchildren.
Harry worked at the sawmill on Couchiching until he retired in 1987. He enjoyed carpentry and fixing things around the house. He will be sorely missed by all those who knew him.
