It is with great sorrow that the family of Bill Perlette announce his passing on Friday, Aug. 17, 2001 at La Verendrye Hospital, Fort Frances, Ont.
Bill was born on March 19, 1939 in Winnipeg, Man. He lived most of his life in Fort Frances working in the hardware business. In 1980 he and his family moved to Dryden where he worked in Industrial Hardware.
Most recently he had been with North American Lumber here in Fort Frances where he remained until the time of his illness. Bill was united in marriage to Gwen on Aug. 15, 1959. He enjoyed fishing and spending time at the cabin. Bill cherished the time he spent with his granddaughters. He was an active member of the Moose Lodge in Dryden, Ont., and a member of the J.C.’s in Fort Frances, Ont.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Gwen, of 42 years; daughter, AnnMarie and her husband, Edwin Gouliquer of Atikokan, Ont.; granddaughters, Alyssa, Chantele, and Kaitlyn; aunt Norma Perlette of Fort Frances, Ont.; cousins, Shirley Cameron and her husband, Murray of Roblin, Man., Peter McLeod and his wife, Audrey of Montreal, Que., Anne Ostby and her husband, Dave of Fort Frances, Ont., as well as numerous extended family.
He was predeceased by his parents Clifford (Perk) and Anna Perlette.
Black Sturgeon Bay will not be the same without you Bill.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Aug. 20, 2001 at 2 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, Ont. Deacon Bill Adair officiated with interment at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Frances, Ont.
The honourary pallbearers were Bill’s girls, Traci Nastiuk, Gail Arpin, Sherri Shine, Joan Lakatos, and Nadine Johnson.
The pallbearers were Ron Erb, Rick Lakatos, Darwin Woods, Mike Busch, Dale Gill, John Green, and Ralph Johnson.
