Peggy was born on September 5, 1922 in Spooner, Minnesota, and was raised as a Canadian in Fort Frances, Ontario. Peggy lived a cheerful and loving life at 19-600 Nashville St., Chatsworth, CA., 91311, until her sudden, but peaceful passing on September 20, 2001.
Peggy married Harlan “Hub” Ballard, also of Fort Frances, on June 6, 1952. Peggy followed her husband, with his banking career, from Fort Frances to Vancouver, B.C. before returning to the United States in San Francisco, CA.
Hub’s banking career saw Peggy, Hub and their three children (Ron, Ian and Beth) move from the San Francisco Bay area to Santa Rosa, to Los Angeles, then to Brussels, Belgium before returning again to Los Angeles, and finally settling in Chatsworth, CA. in 1975, where she lived happily for the rest of her life.
Peggy was a devoted wife and mother to her family, and tended to their every need all these years. Our mother was a Saint, and she is dearly missed.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Hub of Chatsworth; her son Ron, along with his wife, Wendy, of San Diego; her son Ian, and his wife, Cindy, and their children, Keith and Brianne of Claremont, CA.; her daughter, Beth Delmonte, and her husband, Frank, and their children, Jack and Kayleigh, of Lakewood, Colorado.
Also surviving is her brother, Ron Anderson, and wife, Elaine, of Fort Frances; her two nephews, Blair and Doug Anderson, and niece, Cheryl Armstrong, all of Fort Frances.
Peggy was predeceased by her mother, Mrs. Betty Anderson, on April 16, 1995.
Peggy loved and was devoted to her family, and in kind, her family loved their dear mother.
Visitation will be held September 23, 2001, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Praisewater Meyer-Mitchell Mortuary, 5940 Van Nuys Blvd., Van Nuys, CA.
Graveside funeral service to be held Tuesday, September 25, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakwood Memorial Park, 22601 Cassen Street, Chatsworth, CA.
