JOYCE RETA WALTON

In loving memory of Joyce Reta Walton, 74, of 851 Colonization Rd. W., Fort Frances, Ont., who passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2001 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was born Feb. 18, 1927 in Neepewa, Ont. to Noble and Annie Hyatt.
Mrs. Walton lived most of her life in Rainy River District, but moved to Dryden, Thunder Bay, London, and Aurora after her marriage to Donald Frank Walton on Sept. 16, 1949.
She enjoyed travelling to many parts of the United States and Ontario. She also spent many hours knitting, crocheting, doing needlepoint, and working on cross-stitch patterns.
She enjoyed helping others master the technique of crocheting and knitting.
She is survived by her husband, Donald, and their three children, Lynne (Mike), Bill (Donna), and Gregory; and two grandchildren, Andrew and Mark.
She also is survived by brothers, Angus Hyatt and wife, Ferne, of Fort Frances, Ont., George Hyatt of Devlin, Ont., and Fred Hyatt and wife, Evelyn, of Thunder Bay, Ont.; sisters, Shirley Mills and Vivian Cole, both of Dryden, Ont., Grace Neilson and husband, Keith, of Stratton, Ont., and Sylvia Beadle of Fort Frances, Ont.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Joyce was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Eileen Strachan and Eunice Booth; and brothers, John Hyatt and Joseph Hyatt.
A visitation will be held Monday, Oct. 1, 2001 from 7 until 8 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2001 from 10:30 a.m. at Guthrie United Church in Devlin, Ont. Rev. Frances Flook will officiate, with interment in the Burriss Cemetery in Burriss, Ont.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Hyatt, Gordon Hyatt, Doug Hyatt, Ron McTavish, Kelvin Caul, and Terry Beadle.
