Donna Jean Morrison, 69, of Aspen House in Fort Frances, Ont., went to be with our Lord on Friday, Jan. 25, 2002 with her family at her side. She was born Feb. 11, 1932 in Spooner Village, Mn.
Mrs. Morrison immigrated to Canada in 1953 and had lived in the area since then. She enjoyed playing Bingo, cooking, and entertaining, and was a regular at the Bonnie Blue.
Most of all, though, her family and friends were very important to her.
Donna is survived by four daughters, Linda (Lyle) Snider of Fort Frances, Carlene (Charles) Steiner of Dryden, Louise Morrison (Mike Furlong) of Fort Frances, and Sheri (Hernan) Burgos of Bradford; and one step-son, Leonard Morrison of Morson.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, Chris, Ron, Tim, Allen, Ryan, Jennifer, Carla (Brad), Kelly, Jeff (Leanna), Josh, Thomas, and Natalia; six great-grandchildren, Brandon, Bailey, Madison, Daw-son, McKayla, and Kaitlyn; one brother, Larry (Pat) Strom of Colorado; one sister, Marilyn (Joe) Palermo of Florida; step-brother-in-law, Joseph Big George; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Donna was united in marriage Aug. 13, 1953 to Thomas Morrison, who predeceased her in 1975.
She also was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Iola Strom; brother, Dale Strom; and step-daughters, Sarah Big George, Edith Jack, Mary Indian, and Marie Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002 at 10 a.m. at Green Funeral Home. Pastor Ken Johnson will officiate, with interment in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
Friends may visit Monday, Jan. 28, 2002 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Josh Morrison, Jeff Morrison, Allen Morrison, Chris Snider, Tim Snider, Ryan Steiner, and Ron Snider.
