WAYNE EARL BUSCH
Wayne E. Busch, 76, of Devlin, Ont., passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born July 13, 1930 in Fort Frances, Ont. to the late Arthur and Mercy Busch. In 1949, he was united in marriage to Patricia Smith.
Wayne was in the trucking business in Brantford, Ont. for many years before moving back to the Fort Frances area and farming south of Devlin. In 1982, Pat and Wayne purchased the Off Lake Inn and managed it until 1990, when they returned to their property in Devlin.
He drove truck for Tompkins Hardware for several years until he retired.
He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Mercy Busch.
He is survived by Patricia, his wife of 57 years, and six children, Glenna (Gary) Linquist of Thunder Bay, Ont., Sheila (Robert) Polkinghorne of Littlefork, Mn., Wayne (Donna) Busch of Kakabeka Falls, Ont., Karl Busch of Nanimo, B.C., Shirley Busch of Brockville, Ont., and Mark (Tricia) Busch of Nanimo B.C.
He also is lovingly remembered by 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren (with another one arriving any day now).
Wayne also is survived by his brother, Lyle (Anna) Busch of Fort Frances, Ont.; sister, Marnie (Richard) Holmquist of Thunder Bay, Ont.; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering for friends and family was held Friday May 4, 2007 from 2-4 p.m. at the Devlin Community Hall in Devlin, Ont.
Cremation has taken place at Rainy River Cremation Services.
