Vince Jackson was a loving husband, a devoted father, a doting grandfather, a faithful brother. He passed away Friday, Feb. 7, 2003.
The cancer that ravaged his body never touched his remarkable spirit. He was an example of generosity of the purest kind and the legacy he leaves enriches all who knew him.
He will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his wife, Winnie; children, Andrew (Wendy) and Helen; and grandchildren, Tori, Emmett, Emily, and Olivia.
Also surviving are his sisters, Gladys (Ron), Edna (Len), Doris (Tom), Betty, and May; brother, Basil (Alice); sister-in-law, Ethel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Theresa; brother, Frank; and brothers-in-law, Ozzie and Arthur.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that in memoriam donations be made to the Victoria Hospice Society, 1900 Fort St., Victoria, B.C., V8R 1J8.
A memorial service will be held in Elliot Lake, Ont. sometime in the spring.
