RENA BLACK
Funeral services for Rena Black, 98, were held Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007 at 2 p.m. from the Barwick Community Church, with Rev. Andrew Hall officiating.
Born in Kingsley, Mich., her family moved to Alberta, then to Ontario in 1922.
A long-time resident of Barwick, Ont., then to Fort Frances, Ont., Rena passed away peacefully at the Bethammi Nursing Home in Thunder Bay, Ont. on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harry, in 1968 and daughter, Gloria, in 1998.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Jake (Joan) and Maurice (Jackie), all of Thunder Bay, Ont. Also surviving are two grandsons, Earl (Catherine) of Pickering, Ont., and Gary (Lucy) and their daughters, Kaylynn and Kianna, of Thunder Bay, Ont.
Interment will take place in the Barwick Cemetery.
