GLENDA McMAHON
The family of Glenda Lorene McMahon are saddened to announce her sudden passing on Friday, Jan. 19, 2007 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
Glenda was born Nov. 20, 1952 to Andrew and Verda Beadle. She married the love of her life, Ralph McMahon, on March 22, 1969.
Glenda’s main goal in life was to spend time with her family. Also known as Grammy, Glenda treasured the days she could spend with her grandchildren, Carissa, Nikki, and Kailey.
In Glenda’s early years, she enjoyed going camping and fishing with her husband, Ralph, and close friends.
Glenda was a very dedicated and hard worker at any job she worked at. Her most recent employer was Tim Hortons, where she looked forward to going to work every day and where she truly enjoyed being with her co-workers and serving all the community customers.
Glenda is survived by her son, Dennis McMahon of Fort Frances, Ont.; daughter, Shailynn Shipley (Justin) and their children, Carissa, Nikki, and Kailey, all of International Falls, Mn.; daughter, Becky McMahon (fiancé James Dodge) of Thunder Bay, Ont.; brother, Norval Beadle of Fort Frances, Ont.; brother, Don Beadle (Carla) and their three sons, Donald, Michael, and John, all of Peterborough, Ont.; and sister-in-law, Gwen Beadle and daughter, Andrea.
Also surviving are her mother-in-law, Ella McMahon; brothers- and sisters-in law, Milt and Carol Strachan, Terry and Yvonne McMahon, Jim Fowler, Brenda Gunsolus, Cheryl and John Bodnarchuk, Jim McMahon, Denise and Bob Miller, Dean and Patty McMahon, and Russ and Jackie McMahon; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews.
Glenda was predeceased by her husband, Ralph McMahon; brother, Ron Beadle; mother, Verda Beadle; father, Andrew Beadle; father-in-law, Bud McMahon; sister-in-law, Shirley Fowler; and nephew, Larry Fowler.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Jan. 26, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Knox United Church in Fort Frances, with Rev. Jill Warner officiating.
Interment will take place in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances at a later date.
Honourary pallbearers will be her special friends, Madeline Martin, Susie Tetu, Sharon LaRocque, Gerri-Lynn Cousineau, Judy Williamson, and Robert Bombay.
