OLGA MARIA HAHR

Surrounded by the love of her family, Olga Maria Hahr (nee Persson) passed away in her 93rd year at Park Lane Terrace in Paris, Ont. on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007.
Wife of the late Frans Hahr (2000); and cherished mother of Alf Hahr and his wife, Irene, of Grand Prairie, Alta., and Ann (Cunick) and her husband, Bill Moore, of Lynden, Ont.
She also was the loving grandmother of Anne Marie, Kim and her husband, Glen, Dawn and her husband, Jeff, Kelly and her husband, Terry, Dennis, Dan and Leanne, and Ron; great-grandmother of Jenny, Angie, Jessie, Bobby, Andrea, Tara-Lynn, Cheryl, and Kelsie; and great-great-grandmother of Jazmyne, Malayah, Markus, and Mason.
She also is survived by her brother, Elmer; sisters, Astrid, Eunice, and Joyce; and sisters-in-law, Bernice, Betty, and Colleen.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Bertil, Albin, Leonard, and Edvin.
Born in Richvalley, Alta. in 1914, Olga settled in Fort Frances, Ont. for many years and retired to the cabin on Footprint Lake. Olga spent a few years in Comox, B.C. and Sundre, Alta. before living her final years in Paris, Ont.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Knox United Church of Fort Frances, Vasa Lodge, and Film Council of Northwestern Ontario, and also was a Boy Scout leader.
She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humour.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Park Lane Terrace, 295 Grand River St. N. in Paris, on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007 at 2 p.m. Pastor John MacPhail will officiate.
Friends will be welcomed on Sunday from 1-2 p.m. for a time of sharing.
Following Olga’s wishes, cremation already has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Park Lane Terrace in Olga’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
