RODELLE FORSYTH

Rodelle Forsyth, 57, of 24 Hematite Ave., Atikokan, Ont., passed away Monday, June 9, 2003 at the Atikokan General Hospital in Atikokan.
She was born March 23, 1946 in Fort Frances, Ont. Rodelle attended elementary school in Barwick, Ont. and high school in Rainy River, Ont. Following high school, she attended and completed a business course from Kings Business College in Thunder Bay, Ont.
Rodelle worked at Central News and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Thunder Bay.
On Nov. 21, 1974, she was united in marriage to Larry Forsyth, and had a son, Nyles. In 1996, Rodelle returned to Atikokan, where she had lived since and made many friends.
She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, fishing, and spending time with her family. Rodelle played the keyboard for Kings Kids and Song and Celebration as a member of the Faith Lutheran Church.
She was predeceased by her father, Leroy Haney; and by her husband, Larry Forsyth.
Rodelle is survived by her mother, Helen Haney of Atikokan, Ont.; one son, Nyles Forsyth of Thunder Bay, Ont.; three sisters, Peggy (Bill) Johnson of Fort Frances, Ont., and Twyla (Ed) Derkson and Tammy Haney, all of Atikokan, Ont.; and four brothers, Terry (Carole) Haney of Lethbridge, Ont., Sandy (Gayle) Haney of Fort Frances, Ont., Randy (Sandra) Haney of Emo, Ont., and Rusty (Candis) Haney of Sylvan Lake, Alta.
She also was a very special aunt to all her numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
A celebration of Rodell’s life will be held Friday, June 13, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Atikokan, with Pastor Clark Wilkie officiating.
Interment will take place in the Chapple Cemetery in Barwick at a later date.
Friends may visit Thursday, June 12, 2003 from 7 until 8 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Atikokan.
Pallbearers will be Tyson Gareau, David Haney, Willie Johnson, Todd Haney, JoAnne Haney, Don Howells, and D.J. Howells.
