Born Sept. 30, 1924 in Fort Frances, Ont., she spent most of her life in the Fort Frances area and most recently at Canyon Lake, near Vermilion Bay.
Dolores is survived by her husband, Albert Weir, to whom she was united in marriage on Aug. 9, 1945; along with her two daughters, Cheryl Baldwin and her husband, Gary, and Karon Wilson and her husband, Howard.

She was predeceased by her father, Jack Pelletier; mother, Myrtle Pelletier; sister, Irene Pelletier; brother, Robert Pelletier; sister, Frances Fafard; and grandson, Jason Wilson.
Dolores initially was a telephone operator with the Town of Fort Frances and later worked as a clerk at Eaton’s. She and her husband then purchased the Little Pine Motel in Emo, Ont., which they operated together until 1978.
For many years, Dolores, during her retirement, enjoyed spending winter months in Mesa, Az. and the summer months at her home on Canyon Lake. She was especially fond of nature and the outdoors.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Dolores had an outgoing and cheerful disposition, and she will be sadly missed by her family and all the many friends that she made during her lifetime.
Funeral services for Dolores Weir will be held Monday, Oct. 6, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, with Rev. John Snyder officiating.
Interment will follow in the Fort Frances Cemetery.
Visitation will take place Sunday, Oct. 5, 2003 from 7-9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home, with a hospitality reception to follow at the Super 8 Motel, which friends are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Palliative Care Ward of the Dryden Regional Health Centre would be greatly appreciated.
