HAZEL JUSTINE HYATT

In loving memory of Hazel Justine Hyatt, who passed away Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004 at the Dryden Regional Health Centre in Dryden, Ont. surrounded by her family.
Hazel was born Oct. 29, 1934 at Rocky Inlet to the late James and Elizabeth Ayotte. She enjoyed her childhood at Rocky Inlet.
Hazel was united in marriage to Carl Hyatt in 1951 and they had seven children together. Carl passed away in March, 1961. Hazel then was united in marriage to Ronald Hyatt in 1963, and one more child was welcomed to the family in 1972.
Hazel lived on Hyatt Road south of Devlin for most of her life, where she enjoyed practical jokes, gardening, camping, fishing, and watching and taking care of her family. Christmas was always special to us (her kids) by all the little extra things she did to make it more fun.
She was predeceased by Ron in 1997. The following year, she moved to Dryden.
She also was predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth and James Ayotte; sister, Lois; and brother, Alfred.
Hazel is survived by her sisters, Patsy, Myrtle, Judy, and Mabel; and brother, Jimmie; and sisters-in-law, Mona Hyatt and Joan (Jimmie) Daw.
She also is survived by her children, Peggy Matysio (Ron), Carl Hyatt (Debbie), Dennis Hyatt (Anitta), Wendy Tibbs (Glen), and Michelle Silander (Brent), all of Dryden, Ont., Trudy Loveday (Charles) of Atikokan, Ont., Sandra Rankin (Jim) of Appin, Ont., and Richard Hyatt of Barrie, Ont.
Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren also who will miss her greatly. Holding a special place in her heart for Megan, Ben, and Paige.
A memorial service to celebrate Hazel’s life will be held Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004 at 2 p.m. in the Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, Ont., with Rev. Marietta Marshall officiating.
Interment of ashes will take place at a later date.
