EVELYN GRACE KELLAR

Evelyn Grace Kellar (nee Allan), 92, of Devlin, Ont., formerly of Emo, Ont. and Fort Frances, Ont., passed away in Dryden on Friday, Feb. 20, 2004.
Evelyn was born Feb. 16, 1912 in Emo to the late James and Emma Allan. In 1975, she moved to Fort Frances and then later moved to Dryden in 1999, where she had lived since.
She was a member of the senior citizens club in Fort Frances. She enjoyed doing crafts, quilting, and gardening.
Evelyn was united in marriage Oct. 7, 1930 to the late Lawrence Wm. Kellar, who predeceased her June 25, 1980.
She also was predeceased by her son, Delbert (Bud) Kellar; infant son, Donald Kellar; daughter, Margaret Homann; daughter-in-law, Betty Kellar; parents, James and Emma Allan; sisters, Florence Stewart, Bernice Witherspoon, and Edith Annes; brothers, Russell Allan, Gordon Allan, James (Jimmie) Allan, and Ross Allan; and brothers-in-law, Vic Coulson, Johnny Stewart, Lennard Strachan, and Bill Witherspoon.
She is survived by her sons, Allan and wife, Jill, of Emo, Ont., and Arnold and wife, Karen, of Dryden, Ont.; five daughters, Ardell and husband, Harvey Stevens, of Thunder Bay, Ont., Doreen and husband, Wayne McKay, of Fort Frances, Ont., Gwen and husband, Jack Curtis, of Emo, Ont., Donna and husband, Melvin Williamson, of Fort Frances, Ont., and Thelma and husband, Esa Salo, of Dryden, Ont.
Also surviving are 29 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Doris Coulson of Atikokan, Ont., Reta Price (Ted) of Thunder Bay, Ont., and Myrle Strachan of Oak River, Man.; brothers, Melvin Allan (Mae) of B.C., and Francis “Ted” Allan (Eleanor) of Dryden, Ont.; sisters-in-law, Colleen Allan of Fort Frances, Ont., Mildred Allan of Emo, Ont., and Martha Allan of Fort Frances, Ont.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, with Rev. Eileen Bragg officiating.
Interment will take place in the Emo Cemetery in Emo at a later date.
Friends visited prior to the funeral service on Tuesday at Green Funeral Home.
The pallbearers were her grandsons, Greg McKay, Lynn Kellar, Kent Stevens, Rob Kellar, Brian Curtis, Jason Williamson, Keith Kellar, and Trevor Salo.
