RHONDA JEANNE (POLLARD) DEWAR

With great sadness, the family of Rhonda Dewar announces announces she lost her courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011 with her family by her side.
Rhonda was born in Fort Frances, Ont. on March 1, 1961.
After graduating from high school, she moved to London, Ont. It was there she met and married the love of her life, Duane.
She joined the staff of Revenue Canada and eventually transferred to their office in Thunder Bay, Ont. in 1994.
Rhonda’s enjoyment was her family and friends. She loved to spend time at Mirror Lake with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her mother, Jeanne; maternal grandparents, Carl and Muriel Thesenvitz; paternal grandparents, Archie and Ida Pollard; in-laws, George Dewar and Claudette Infanti; and uncles, Walter Strain, Roy Zub, and Murray Pollard.
Rhonda is survived by her husband, Duane; sons, David and Dylan, and stepson, Eric; father, Robert Pollard and step-mother, Alice; brothers, Derek and Guy (Dana); and her step-sisters and step-brothers.
Also surviving are her brothers-in-law, Dan and Derek (Trisha); sisters-in-law, Katie (Mike) and Rhonda (Georges); aunts, Marg Pollard, Shelby (Larry) Benoit, Joyce Zub, Hazel Strain, and Lorraine (John) Ponse; uncles, Gary (Mary) Thesenvitz and Dayton (Doris) Thesenvitz; and numerous cousins.
Cremation has taken place.
At Rhonda’s request, no memorial service will be held. However, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, the family respectfully requests in memoriam donations to the Northern Cancer Fund, Thunder Bay Regional Health Centre, 980 Oliver Rd., Thunder Bay, Ont.
