Lois was born July 31, 1917 in Duluth, Mn. to the late Harry and Ann Matilda “Tillie” Cain. At an early age, Lois, along with her family, moved to Box Alder, Ont., where the family first built their cabin and later their permanent home.
While growing up, Lois attended elementary school in Box Alder and later high school in Fort Frances. Following high school, she worked at the MacKenzie Hospital for a period of time.

Lois was united in marriage to “Jack” Judson on June 1, 1940 in Fort Frances.
Along with raising a family over the years, she attended Knox United Church, where she also taught Explorers to the younger girls. Lois also was very involved within her community and worked as a member of the Rainycrest Auxiliary for many years.
For enjoyment, she loved knitting and would knit an afghan for family and friends alike. She also loved travelling abroad to such places as Egypt and Israel.
She has spent her winters a little closer to home, in Florida for 10 years and for seven years in Arizona with Doug and Sandra. Her family was her life.
