After a courageous battle with cancer, Nancy Lee Hawley passed away peacefully at the age of 59, with family at her side, on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006.
She was the beloved wife of the late Bryan Hawley (Mt. Grove) and the late Lyn Nugent (Barwick); and sister of Beverly Grandbois (Dryden) and Donna Marwick (Fort Frances).
She is survived by her loving daughter, Judy Hawley (Perth) and one son, Mark (Sarah) of Ottawa; and proud grandmother to Gracie.
Also surviving are her sisters, Heather (Eric) Swanson of Chemaninis, B.C. and Cindy Nick of Fort Frances, Ont.; brothers, Larry (Annette) of Fort Frances, Ont. and Brian Merritt of Victoria, B.C.; mother, Leona Marwick of Fort Frances, Ont.; and mother-in-law, Myra Hawley of Mt. Grove.
Always remembered by brother-in-law Robert (Nora) Hawley; sisters-in-law, Arlene (Lyn) Uens of Mt. Grove and Marlene (Brian) Scott of Perth; and brothers-in-law, Tom (Marlene) of Kingston and Todd Hawley of Mt. Grove
Nancy also will be sadly missed and remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as they many friends she made over her too short years.
She helped so many when they were in need, and was such a caring and giving person to all those who knew her.
Nancy was loved by all she met and will be missed by all.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Goodfellow’s Funeral Home in Parham.
Interment of ashes in Mountain Grove Cemetery.
