WALTER RICHARD (WALLY) MCKEE

Walter Richard (Wally) McKee passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005.
He is survived by his spouse, Jennifer Gustafson; three children, Billy Jean McKee, James McKee, and Jacob McKee; parents, Bob and Ethel McKee; and grandmother, Jenny Dixon.
Also surviving are his brothers, Jamie (Liz) McKee and Robbie (Shauna) McKee; uncles, Brian Wyer and Tommy Wyer; aunt, Betty (Ted) Wyer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Wally was born July 19, 1959 in Thunder Bay, Ont. He had worked as a hardrock miner at the Dynatec Mine in Balmertown, Ont.
Wally loved to be outdoors. Whether he was fishing in Miss Highgrade, hunting, snowmobiling, or riding his motorcycle, he enjoyed the feel of the sun on his face.
As a young man, he played hockey as his father had and was enjoying watching his sons play, too. Wally was very social and loved to travel, learning all the local history of the places he visited.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, Ont., with Fr. George Karakunnel officiating.
The honourary pallbearers will be Wallace (Dozer) Bruyere, Lawrence Simmons, Ralph Martin, Jamie Coutts, Dominico (Chico) Chastico, Lester Cosgrove, and Greg Baker.
