SUSAN JANICE JACK

It is with deepest sorrow that our family announces the passing of Sue Jack, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend to all.
Susan passed away Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005 at the Emo Heath Centre in Emo, Ont. at the age of 55, alongside her family, after courageously battling cancer.
She was born Dec. 12, 1949 in Fort Frances, Ont. and spent her childhood in Stratton, Ont. She moved to Emo in 1969, where she got engaged to Melvin. They married on June 6, 1970 and started their family together.
For more than 35 years, Susan and Melvin owned and operated Mel’s Well Drilling. Susan also spent more than 18 years graciously caring for many patients at the Emo Health Centre as an RPN. She recently retired in January, 2005.
She enjoyed spending her time with friends and family. Sue’s other hobbies were gardening, travelling, and spending summers at Caliper Lake.
She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Melvin; her children, Chad (Stacey) Jack, Clinton Jack, and Cara (Garrett) Taschuk; and her grandchild, Andrew Jack.
Also surviving is her mother, Thelma Lee; father-in-law, Elder Jack; brother, Terry (Jan) Lee; brother-in-law, Larry (Maureen) Jack; sister-in-law, Marilynn McDonald; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Susan’s life was held Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Knox United Church in Emo, with Rev. Frances Flook officiating.
Interment will take place in the Emo Cemetery in Emo at a later date.
The pallbearers were Shirley Henrotte, Shirley Hodge, Dixie Kinnear, Heather Oltsher, Andrea Lee, and Angela Lee.
The honourary pallbearers were all of the nurses and staff at the Emo Health Centre.
