MARGUERITE ELIZABETH KERBER

Mrs. Marguerite Elizabeth Kerber, 78, a resident of Bears Passage, Ont., passed away Friday, Sept. 29, 2006 with family by her side.
Margo was born in the late 1920s in the town of Preston, Ont.
From early childhood, poetry always had been a special form of expression for Margo. Her poems reflected her openness to experience, deepening with years, and her conviction that one should view God’s world with wonder, in the belief that no day was ever wasted that made a memory.
Margo was united in marriage to Jon Charles (Hans Wolff) Kerber, who predeceased her in 1982 and with whom she raised their five children. She spent her adult life with her family in Northwestern Ontario, where many continue to live and work.
Regardless of where she lived, she maintained her membership in the Women’s Institute, CWL, and the local artisan community.
Margo was a published poet, and her paintings hang and are enjoyed in many homes. For those who knew her, she was a great friend who enjoyed bowling, playing the slots, and cooking meals for her family.
She will be remembered by those she met on her journey through life.
Margo will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kim (Jean) Kerber, Mark (Carienne) Kerber, Mary Kay (Dan) French, Paul Kerber, and Francine (Bill) Lowe.
She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Charles (Heather) and Nathanial Kerber, Kevin, Andrea, and Kory French, Kristine and Casey Kerber, and Madison and Jon Lowe; and five great-grandchildren, Cadence, Erica, Emily, Samuel, and Lucas Kerber.
A private service is planned for a later date, with interment in Mountainview Cemetery in Thunder Bay, Ont.
