EDITH IRENE OGDEN

Edith Irene Ogden, 89, of Fort Frances, Ont., passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances. She was born Feb. 17, 1916 in Emo, Ont. to the late John and Susan McEachern.
Edith had lived all her life in Rainy River District. After her marriage, she lived in Aylsworth Township until later moving to Fort Frances.
She was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Fort Frances until the church’s closure in September, 2004.
Edith is survived by her children, Don (Cathy) Ogden, Ken (Florence) Ogden, Sharon (Paul) Wilhelm, and Barbara (Roy) Avis.
Also surviving are her grandchildren, Colleen (Nick) Chubenko, Brian (Debbie) Ogden, Brad (Camille) Wilhelm, Paula (Andre) Goulah, Bob Ogden (Susan), Kendra Ogden (Mike), Kimberly Avis, and Chad (Lynne) Avis; great-grandchildren, Larissa and Julianna Chubenko, Mykayla Loutchan, Connor and Samantha Wilhelm, Brianne and Jared Ogden, Danielle and William Goulah, and Peyton Avis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was united in marriage to Woodbury “Woody” Ogden, who predeceased her on Aug. 6, 1988. She also was predeceased by her brothers, Rodney, Elmer, Harvey, and Don McEachern; sister, Verna Morphet; and grandson, Brent Ogden.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 1 p.m. at Knox United Church in Fort Frances. Rev. Marietta Marshall officiated, with interment in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
Pallbearers were Terry Ogden, Stancey Ogden, Gary Ogden, Bob Ogden, Chad Avis, and Brad Wilhelm.
The honourary pallbearers were Claude McFarland, Bob Lidkea, Dave Hughes, Bruce Lidkea, Cliff Larry, and Jim Newman.
