It is with great sadness that we announce our beloved husband, father, and friend, David John Blight, passed away April 5, 2005 at Riverside Health Care in Rainy River, Ont. with his family by his side.
Dave was born March 29, 1940 in Kenora, Ont. to Elizabeth and John Blight of Morson, Ont.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Betty; three children, John Blight, Stacey (Larry) Bragg, and Jennifer (Terry) Eide; and seven grandchildren, Curtis and Kyle Blight, Jeff, Jamie, and Natasha Bragg, and Alex and Jada Eide.
Dave also is survived by his mother, Liz Blight; brothers, Jerome (Martha) Blight, Wayne (Cathy) Blight, Weston (Norma) Blight, Arden Blight, Trevor Blight, and Irving (Geraldine) Blight; sisters, Forest (John) Armstrong, Amber Davidson, Elaine Westburg, and Star (Ben) Clark; three uncles, William Almers, John Almers, and Allan Almers; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Dave was predeceased by his father, John Blight; grandmother, Nora Almers; son, Timothy Blight; and granddaugher, Melissa Bragg.
The funeral was held Saturday, April 9, 2005 at 1 p.m. at the Morson Community Bible Fellowship in Minehiko, Ont. with his grandchildren as honourary pallbearers.
