CLARA VERENIA SAUNDERS

In loving memory of Clara Verenia Saunders, 99, of Rainycrest Home for the Aged, 550 Osbourne St. Fort Frances, Ont., who passed away Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, with her family by her side.
She was born Feb. 9, 1906 in the Township of Mather. She leaves behind her three daughters, Verenia Zucchiatti, Mary Murrie, Eloise (Jean) Camirand; 16 grandchildren, Joe, Jim, and Don Zucchiatti, Cindy (Urban) Bowman, Murdock (Margaret) Saunders, David Murrie, Shauna Liscomb, Verenia Saxon, Debbie (Kelly) Knowlan, Danny (Karen) Saunders, Tim (Nadine) Saunders, Jean Camirand Jr., Kirk (Diane) Camirand, Carla (Marvin) Mose, Renee (Gary) Miller, Kelly (Ken) Badiuk; 36 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Alva Irvine; many nieces and nephews.
She was united in marriage Nov. 24, 1924 to C.D. (Buster) Saunders who predeceased her April 1, 1993.
She was also predeceased by her parents, Rosanna and Robert Irvine; one son, Donald; son-in-law, Joe Zucchiatti; six sisters; and two brothers.
Clara was a very loving person whose door was always open and entered often by family and friends both in Fort Frances and Parksville, B.C., where they lived for 20 retired years. She was a member of the Redwing Rebecca Lodge for 65 years.
At her request there will be no service.
A come and go tea will be held Saturday, Sept. 10, at the KC Hall, Scott St., Fort Frances, Ont., from 2-4 p.m., in celebration of Clara’s life.
