JACK McCONNELL

The family of Jack Walter McConnell announces his passing on June 3, 2006 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre.
Jack was born Feb. 25, 1949 in Fort Frances, Ont. to Gordon and Violet (nee Brown) McConnell. He was united in marriage to Sandra (McCoy) on Feb. 8, 1969 and they were blessed with two sons, Jeremy and Jonathan.
Jack began working at a young age as a guide for fishermen in the Fort Frances area. He also worked hauling gravel and managed a hotel for many years.
In 1978, Jack and Sandra moved to Churchbridge, Sask., where he worked in mechanics—the job he loved most. Jack’s greatest joy was working on his 1966 Chevelle 300 and going to car shows.
Even after he lost his sight, he spent many hours working on his car.
In 1990, Jack and Sandra moved to Bredenbury, Sask., where they remained until his passing.
Jack was predeceased by his parents.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Sandra; and sons, Jeremy and wife, Tracey, of Regina, Sask. and Jonathan and wife, Cheryl, and their two children, Tayler and Lexandra of Regina, Sask.
A memorial service was held June 6, 2006 at the Knox United Church in Bredenbury, with Rev. Chang Lee officiating.
