Emo speedway race a roaring success

It was a long, slow wait, but the first Borderland Racing Association race day of 2020 was over in a flash for the drivers, pit crews, and pay-per-view fans, who took in all the fast and furious action.

The race won’t be a weekly event. The association’s board is meeting to discuss the possibility of future races.

The winners of the opening COVID 2020 race, July 11 were:

Darren Wolframe #96 in the streets
Dave Simpson #3D in MWM
Brady Caul #50 in Modifieds.

The race’s Hard Charger winners were:

Street Stock: #64. Gary Feeleus- went from 6th place to 2nd
MWM: #14c- Cody Ossachuk- went from 17th to 8th place
Modified: #48- Jerome Guyot who went from 7th place to 2nd.

The Hard Charger competition is sponsored by Westbrook Manufacturing and Strachan Logging.

The race is a community event, sponsored by The Rainbow Motel, Chaschuk Enterprises, Harold McQuaker Enterprises, Hunter Racing, Greens Barbecue Bar, Eric Guyot, Steven Stoge Bouwman and Glen Strachan Trucking.
