Kenora-Rainy River MPP Greg Rickford stopped by the Fort Frances Senior Centre on Friday for a quick lunch and to announce more than $68,000 in funding that will be going towards seniors in Fort Frances. More than $52,000 for upkeep and programming will be going to the Senior Centre directly as a part of a $14.1-million Senior Active Living Centre Program, and $15,000 was announced for the Seniors Companion Project in Fort Frances. The province also announced roughly $90-million for the new Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program (OSDCP), which is aimed at providing free dental care to eligible low-income seniors.
