It’s been a great start to the NorWOSSA season for all four Muskie court sport teams.
All four squads came away with wins over the host Sioux Lookout Warriors on Tuesday afternoon to all see their league records improve to 2-0.
The senior boys’ basketball team cruised to a 62-33 romp over the Warriors.
Wyatt Richards led all scorers with 18 points in the win for the Muskies while Garrett Hyatt chipped in with 15.
The juniors also were victorious in their game, but the score and top scorers were not provided.
In girls’ volleyball action, meanwhile, the seniors cruised to a 2-0 sweep of Sioux Lookout.
The set scores were 25-8 and 25-14. Fort High also won the third exhibition set by a 25-20 margin.
The junior squad was able to pull out a narrow 2-1 win despite some early struggles.
After dropping the first set by 25-16 count, the Muskies rebounded with set wins of 25-15 and 25-13 to snatch the victory in the match.
All four Muskie court sports teams were slated to resume NorWOSSA action this afternoon when they welcomed the Dryden Eagles to Fort High in their home-openers.
Results of each weren’t available as of press time today.
