About 200 people attended the dedication of the monument, part of a Canada-wide program aimed at honouring the service and sacrifice of the Canadian Armed Forces in Afghanistan. The monuments are all created from decommissioned Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV) III hulls, donated by the Government of Canada.
