Handmade baskets crafted by local artist Pepper Hinrichs are on display at the Fort Frances Public Library. Hinrichs creates her baskets by braiding together thousands of long leaf and Red Pine needles into long ropes, which is then woven into basket or other artistic shapes, often with adornments like stones. Hinrichs’ baskets will be on display at the library until the end of the month.
