Early Childhood Educator Sara Empey spoke about outdoor lessons and activities at Mine Centre School during a workshop on “The Power of Inquiry and the Outdoor Classroom” at La Place Rendez-Vous last Thursday. The workshop was part of a two-day “Indigenous Knowledge and Mathematics Education” conference held Oct. 4-5 to highlight the partnership between the Seven Generations Education Institute, Rainy River District School Board, and the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education.
