Members of the OPP’s Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau have charged two people with drug-related offences following an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in Kenora.
On Friday around 11:50 a.m., police arrested a male and two females in the north end of Kenora.
Police located more than 60 Hydromorphone pills, about 60 grams of marijuana, a small amount of methamphetamine, Canadian currency, and other items associated with the drug-trafficking trade on the male.
They also located a small amount of marijuana on one of the women.
The total street value of the drugs is estimated to be about $3,200.
As a result of this investigation, 50-year-old Kenora man was charged with possession of a Schedule I and Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of a Schedule I substance.
He also was charged with possession of property obtained by crime.
A 32-year-old Kenora woman was charged with possession of marijuana.
They are to appear in court Nov. 9 in Kenora.
The second female was released unconditionally.
