It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terrance “Butch” Moore on October 31, 2025, at Fort Frances, La Verendrye Hospital.
Butch was born on January 28, 1950, in Kenora, Ontario, to Irene and Garfield. Butch started working at Boise Cascade Kenora Mill. He then worked at Pine Point NWT at Cominco Mine before settling in Fort Frances with his family and started working for Claude Jodoin, where he took out his retirement after 25 years.
He will be greatly remembered by his loving wife of 52 years Mary; daughter Shannon (Todd Kenny), daughter Allison (Corey Dobransky); grandchildren Brett and Abbie (Shannon and Todd), Hayden and Revy (Allison and Corey).

Butch is survived by his sisters Audrey Nagy, Fay Gyegne, Carol Osadchuk (Juan), Kathy Woolsey (Dean); and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents Irene and Garfield; sisters Lois Turcotte and Avis Moore; and brother Elgen Moore.
Per Butch’s request there will be no service. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 1005 Patcin Ave. Fort Frances, Ont., from 1-3 p.m. Light lunch will be provided.
